19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging season, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
His defensive play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent defended four initial opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
